There are a handful of especially dog-friendly hotels in Chattanooga. Here are a few that have pet and people appealing amenities and locations.<\/p>\n

Check the Moxy’s schedule for their next Pups and Pints event; it had become a Chattanooga dog lover’s tradition.<\/p>\n

Bougie pups will\u00a0love\u00a0the\u00a0The Edwin Hotel<\/a> and their special pet perks include locally made, organic dog treats, water and food bowls, and even a bed for your pet to use during their stay (based on availability)!\u00a0 \u00a0Major perks for the humans on the trip: the beautiful collection of art featured at the hotel from outstanding local artists and perfect location. The swoon-worthy hotel is right next to the Walnut Street bridge (a pedestrian bridge perfect for walks across the Tennessee River), and is just 15 minutes from Ruby Falls.\u00a0 Keep in mind, there is 40 pound limit for pups staying at the Edwin and a non-refundable pet fee per room is required.<\/p>\n

Chattanooga has become a foodie\u2019s dream with some\u00a0pet-tastic<\/em>\u00a0options if you\u2019d like to bring your dog along while you relax and grab a bite to eat.<\/p>\n

PR and Digital Media Coordinator, Missy M.\u00a0recommends the\u00a0Daily Ration<\/a>\u00a0on Chattanooga\u2019s NorthShore.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cDaily Ration is always a fun place to bring my dog Riggins; the food is locally sourced, and there are usually one or two other dogs for him to play with.\u00a0 The large, dog-welcoming, covered patio seating is a gem.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Open M-F for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and on weekends until 3:00 PM.<\/p>\n

\"DogTour Guide, Ashley M.’s\u00a0two dogs love walking on the Walnut Street pedestrian bridge. There are plenty of benches on the bridge spanning the Tennessee River, making a perfect spot for a snack or picnic. Pick up a sandwich, salad or dessert to-go from local favorite,\u00a0River Street Deli<\/a> on the north side of the bridge at Coolidge Park. Enjoy lunch on a bench high above the Tennessee River.\u00a0\u00a0Be sure to bring along some doggie waste bags, there aren\u2019t any available on the bridge.<\/p>\n

Located in a vintage service station,\u00a0Universal Joint<\/a> is another great option in downtown Chattanooga for food and drinks. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area. Universal Joint is open for lunch and dinner. It’s a great choice for a late dinner and drinks with your pup in tow.<\/p>\n

Best Places for Dog Treats<\/h3>\n

If you want to reward your dog with a tasty, all-natural Chattanooga treat, toy or a new accessory, head straight to\u00a0Nooga Paws<\/a>. The shop is a favorite outing for Ruby Falls Executive Director, Kara Van Brunt’s dog Dooley who fancies their homemade treats. If your pup couldn\u2019t pass up a tempting mud puddle, the self-wash stations at the shop have everything you need to save the day, including an apron to keep you dry.<\/p>\n

\"Dog<\/h3>\n

Chattanooga Dog Parks and Best Places to Take Your Dog for a Scenic Walk<\/h3>\n

You could plan a Chattanooga getaway based on dog parks and beautiful places to walk your dog! There are fun options around town to fit in between your human adventures.<\/p>\n

Tour Guide\u00a0Gabby’s\u00a0dogs, Bear and Blue are fans of walking the\u00a0Sculpture Fields at Montague Park<\/a>. Besides being the largest sculpture park in the Southeast, the park welcomes leashed pets. The clean-up stations scattered throughout 33-acres of grassy fields make poop pick up a snap. Download the Otocast app to hear featured artists speak about their work while exploring the art park with your dog.\u00a0\u00a0If your dog overheats easily, plan a morning or evening visit and bring along extra water and a bowl.<\/p>\n

Chattanooga Dog Parks<\/h4>\n

About 5 minutes from downtown in Red Bank, White Oak Park is the home of spacious Red Bank Dog Park with separate areas for large and small dogs. Meghan G., Admissions Manager regularly brings her dogs Nelson and Newport to this dog park. \u201cIt\u2019s well maintained, and most of the time there are friendly dogs to run and play with, along with restrooms, a picnic gazebo, water supplies, and benches.\u201d<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re heading to Chattanooga from the north, take a slight detour off I-75 and stop at Heritage Park.\u00a0 Tour Guide Kelcie H’s homebody pooch, Zoe is even keen on spending time at Heritage Park\u2019s chill dog park. It features separate sections for large and small dogs, benches, shady areas, water stations and a doggie playground with agility equipment. If you prefer exploring the park with your pup on a leash, you\u2019ll enjoy the meandering walking paths, grassy areas shaded by lots of trees, picnic tables, and restrooms. You\u2019ll both love the creek running through the park.<\/p>\n

Other spots to check out are Renaissance Park for a short walk, and Play Wash Pint for drinks, self-wash stations and a super social dog park.<\/p>\n

Dogs at Ruby Falls<\/h3>\n

\"DoodleWhile you\u2019re exploring Ruby Falls Cave, your dog can enjoy outdoor time at the Ruby Falls complimentary kennels<\/a>. The four shaded, covered, open-air kennels are open seasonally and available first-come-first-serve.<\/p>\n

Bring your dog\u2019s bed, food, water, toys or whatever else your pooch would like to stay comfortable. The self-serve kennels are next to the zipline hut. Kennel locks are available at Ruby Falls’ Hospitality Center, along with dog treats. If your dog is an escape artist, place your crate inside the kennel.\u00a0\u00a0Due to health guidelines, only service animals are eligible for consideration to enter the cave with their human parent.<\/p>\n

\"A<\/h4>\n

A Quick Hike Before Hitting the Road<\/h3>\n

Before you climb back in your car, take your leashed pup on a hike along the Hardy Guild\u00a0Trail<\/a> which intersects Ruby Falls property at several points.\u00a0The trail is jam-packed with natural beauty and fascinating history. Bring water for your dog and ask a Ruby Falls team member if you need directions to the trail.\u00a0Depending on which direction you hike from Ruby Falls, you\u2019ll walk under the Incline Railroad, cross several impressive trestle bridges, or arrive at historic Cravens House, the location of a famous Civil War battle.<\/p>\n
